The attention to the well-being and development of employees is one of the five pillars of the Group’s sustainability strategy. More than 8,000 people contribute to building the present and future of the Armani Group through their work on a daily basis. Their experience, culture, decisions and motivation constitute a key factor for creating value. For this reason, the Group is constantly committed to promoting, first and foremost, a serene, environmentally friendly environment, encouraging and developing diverse opinions, outlooks, cultures, ages and genders, and promoting the professional and personal development of all co-workers.
Meritocracy, leadership and passion, ambition, performance and team spirit are the principles on which the Armani Group bases its talent development: promoting excellence makes it possible to manage change effectively and be ready to deal with future challenges.
Supporting the professional development of each employee and creating new expertise are elements of strategic importance.
For this reason, and in line with company objectives, training is very extensive and diversified and is designed to guide employees’ growth from the moment they join the company, creating strong synergies and team spirit.
The training plan is aimed at all corporate levels, from young talents monitored through a specific growth programme for new recruits to managerial figures, because everyone has the possibility of constantly acquiring and expanding the know-how necessary for their role.
Specifically, the Human Resources Department has created the Armani Development Programme for young talent under 35 working at the headquarters. After selecting profiles with the necessary characteristics and skills to take part in the programme, there is an initial assessment aimed at mapping the potential of the participants and designing ad hoc training plans that allow specific growth areas to be developed.
Work projects are launched at the same time, directed at small groups with the goal of stimulating participants’ creativity with regard to business issues, as well as honing teamwork skills.
The 2019 Armani Development Programme saw around 60 young employees take part.
An ideal work environment is stimulating and considers employee needs. This involves considering aspects that are part of working life, as well as other non-work related aspects that are still necessary for people’s well-being. First of all, it is necessary to respect diversity, protect equal opportunities and appreciate the contribution that everyone brings to the growth of the company.
Another fundamental aspect is obtaining the right balance between professional and private life, something the Group promotes with flexible working hours and different types of contracts.
The Armani People Care welfare plan is one of the services and initiatives that makes a significant contribution to employees’ well-being. It offers insurance cover and prevention services for all employees and can be extended to include their family.
