ITALIAN PANORAMA

A consistent factor in the genetic make-up of both Giorgio Armani and Vogue Italia has been a focus on talent and a commitment to supporting new generations of creatives. With Italian Panorama, a project launched in collaboration with the Photo Vogue Festival, Armani/Silos hosts a group exhibition dedicated to some of the most unique interpreters of Italian fashion photography.

FROM ONE SEASON TO ANOTHER

An extensive endeavor comprising over one hundred and seventy works, both in color and black and white. A succession of images that follow a personal and poetic stream of consciousness rather than a chronological order, stemming from the artist’s belief that surprising narratives may unleash when images are associated and viewers are allowed to interpret on their own accord and whim.

PERMANENT COLLECTION

The exhibition permanently on display at Armani/Silos celebrates over 40 years of timeless elegance and style. A unique selection of the fashion designer’s creations from 1980 up until today, divided into themes that have inspired and continue to inspire Giorgio Armani’s creative work: the androgynous style, far away ethnicities and Hollywood stars.

THE DIGITAL ARCHIVE

With the Digital Archive project, Giorgio Armani opens his personal archive to the wider public, giving visitors access to a vast and continuously evolving resource that reveals the designer’s creative process, working methods and aesthetic approach.

The archive, containing sketches, fashion show videos and iconic advertising photos from past Giorgio Armani ready-to-wear and Privé couture collections, is free to consult and features an interactive catalogue, workstations as well as a screening area intended to stimulate research and inspire young generations by looking back at some of the house’s most iconic moments.
