GABRIELE DETTI

Born in 1994 in Livorno, Gabriele Detti is an Italian freestyle swimmer, world champion in the 800-metre event in Budapest, 2017 and European champion in the 400-metre event in London, 2016.
Winner of 2 bronze medals at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympic Games in the 400-metre and 1500-metre freestyle, Detti boasts a total of 17 international medals, the latest being a bronze won at the Glasgow 2019 European Short Course Swimming Championships.
He is also the holder of the Italian record for the 400-metre freestyle with a time of 3:43.23 recorded on 21 July 2019 at the Gwangju 2019 World Aquatics Championships.

GIUSEPPE VICINO

Born in Naples in 1993, Giuseppe Vicino rows for the Italian national team and won a bronze medal in the coxless four with Domenico Montrone, Matteo Castaldo and Matteo Lodo at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. He was World Champion in the coxless pair with Matteo Lodo at the 2017 Sarasota World Rowing Championships – the first Italian gold-medal winner.
Vicino has won 13 international medals at the senior level, including 3 gold medals at World and European Championships. He has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

MATTEO LODO

Born in Terracina on 25 October 1994, Matteo Lodo is a rower on the Italian national team and won the bronze medal in the coxless four with Domenico Montrone, Matteo Castaldo and Giuseppe Vicino at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. He was World Champion in the coxless pair with Giuseppe Vicino at the 2017 Sarasota World Rowing Championships, making him the first Italian gold-medal winner in this class, a feat also achieved in the coxless four at the 2015 World Rowing Championships in Aiguebelette.
Over the course of his sporting career, Lodo has won 13 international medals at the senior level, including 2 world championship gold medals. He has qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

SIMONE BARLAAM

At only twenty years of age, Simone Barlaam is without doubt currently the leading Paralympic swimmer.In his fledgling career, he has already won 60 World, European and National titles and is the holder of 5 world records. He is ready to compete at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.He is a shining example of fortitude, perseverance and tenacity. For him, diversity represents an advantage.
