Giorgio Armani Corporation COVID-19 Safety Plan


The following document outlines the precautions taken by the Giorgio Armani Corporation in compliance with state and federal mandates and recommendations for the safe operations of stores for curbside pickup or in-store shopping.


PHYSICAL DISTANCING

- Employees are required to social distance by maintaining a minimum six-foot distance (two meters) from others at all times. Customers will also be asked to social distance and signage is posted in front and back of house.
- When processing merchandise, executing projects or eating meals, employees must ensure they maintain proper social distance.
- Fixtures have been removed from the salesfloor to help facilitate flow around the store and avoid areas that could become crowded.
- Floor decals are being utilized to demonstrate to customers where to stand at the cash register, when waiting for fitting rooms and to facilitate traffic.
- Stores are operating with reduced operating hours and with reduced number of employees in the stores. Employees are scheduled according to staggered shifts by days of the week to reduce exposure to each other.
- Maximum occupancies have been reduced and employees are monitoring head count in stores as required by local regulations. If maximum occupancy is reached, customers will be asked to queue six feet apart outside the store.
- Contactless payments are being encouraged and plexi guards have been installed at cash registers for further protection.
- Vendors are asked not to enter the store unless necessary. All vendors and cleaning personnel that enter are asked to wear PPE and social distance.


PPE AND HYGIENE

- Employees adhere to hygiene and sanitation requirements from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Department of Health (DOH).
- Each employee is issued one disposable face mask for every 4 hours of their shift. Employees must wear this face covering at all times while in the store. Where required by law, employees are given washable face masks.
- Employees are encouraged to wash their hands with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds, dry with disposable hand towels and follow this with hand sanitizer of minimum 60% alcohol.
- Employees are discouraged from having any physical contact with each other and avoid sharing of any objects, foods or beverages.
- Hand sanitizing stations are available to customers at the entrance to stores.
- Non-latex gloves are available for employees as needed for cleaning or performing duties.
- Customers are required to wear face coverings and signage is posted at the entrance to stores. No one will be admitted without a face covering.


CLEANING AND DISINFECTING

- Cleaning and disinfecting of our stores, shared surfaces, and other areas, as well as equipment, are performed using Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) products identified by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as effective against COVID-19.
- Signage is posted in various areas of the stores informing customers of the precautions we are taking and encouraging them to ask for assistance to reduce handling of merchandise.
- Sharing of objects such as cash registers during shifts will be limited and employees are discouraged from touching shared surfaces. A cleaning checklist with cleaning frequency has been created for employees to follow throughout their shift.
- In addition to the requirement of employees to clean throughout the day, professional cleaners are also being utilized on a regular schedule in all stores.
- The following areas will be disinfected regularly during the day or as needed:
Breakrooms
Restrooms
Counters
Workstations
Employee-Only Areas
- Touchpoints, including the following, will be disinfected frequently and upon indication of additional need:
POS Registers/Computer Touchscreens/Keyboards
Shared Communications Equipment Including: Phones, Radios, etc.
Light Switches/Doorknobs/Door Handles
Copy Machines/Multi-Function Machines
Counters/Drawer Handles/etc.
- HVAC systems use highest quality HEPA filters which are being changed regularly.
- Merchandise that is tried on or returned to the store is quarantined for 24 hours, thoroughly steamed and sprayed with disinfectant.


SCREENING

- Each employee will have their temperature taken before clocking in for their shift and will be screened with the following questions:
1. Have you been to any level 2 or 3 COVID area in the last 14 days?
2. Have you been in contact with anyone who is COVID positive?
3. Have you exhibited any symptoms in the last 14 days?
- Employees who are sick will be told to stay home, or return home, if they become ill at work.
- Human Resources will be contacted if any employee is sick with COVID-19 symptoms or suspects exposure and will immediately notify state and local health departments and cooperate with contact tracing efforts, including notification of potential contacts, such as workers or visitors who had close contact with the individual, while maintaining confidentiality required by state and federal law and regulations.
