2. Armani.com accessibility statement
1 Armani.com accessibility statement
The Armani Group undertakes to make its website accessible, in accordance with Italian Law no. 4 of 9 January 2004. The following accessibility statement applies to www.armani.com.
1.1 Content in compliance with EU Implementing Decision 2018/1523
1.1.1 Compliance status
Partially compliant - This website is partially compliant with the requirements of Appendix A of the UNI EN 301549:2018 standard (WCAG 2.1) and the requirements pursuant to annex A of the Italian Ministerial Decree of 5 July 2005 (WCAG 2.0) due to the cases of non compliance listed below.
1.1.2 Inaccessible content
The contents listed below are not accessible for the following reasons:
1. non-compliance with Italian Law no. 4 of 9 January 2004:
2. Not all images have meaningful alternative text that correctly describes their content or function to people with visual disabilities using screen readers, or an alternative text is provided for images that are pure decoration; therefore, the WCAG 1.1.1 Non-text Content success criterion requirement has not been met;
3. In some pages, the hierarchical order of the levels of the headings is not correct, or texts that are headings are not tagged with the correct semantics; therefore, the WCAG 1.3.1 Info and relationships success criterion has not been met;
4. In some places, the contrast between the text and the background is inadequate, so reading could be difficult; therefore, the WCAG 1.4.3 Contrast (minimum) success criterion has not been met;
5. In some pages and in some sidebars, the enlargement of the text to 200% could cause it to overlap with neighbouring content, or truncate or obscure the text; therefore, the WCAG 1.4.4 Resize text success criterion has not been met;
6. On some pages, the reflow of the content is not managed in an optimal way and the zooming of the page to 400% could cause a reduction in the displayed text, in particular in the names of the products in the product cards; therefore, the WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow success criterion has not been met;
7. Some components of the user interface (e.g. form fields, buttons) have insufficient contrast with the adjacent colours, so it may be difficult to identify and distinguish the operable area; therefore, the WCAG 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast success criterion has not been met;
8. On some pages, the change in the stylistic properties of the text could cause a loss of content or a reduction in the text displayed, in particular in the names of the products in the product cards; therefore, the WCAG 1.4.12 Text Spacing success criterion has not been met;
9. Some pop-ups that contain status messages cannot be closed with the keyboard; therefore, the WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard success criterion has not been met;
10. There are sliders in some pages that start automatically and cannot be paused, interrupted or hidden; therefore, the WCAG 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide success criterion has not been met;
11. The video content may contain flashes and flashing images that could create adverse reactions in some users; therefore, the WCAG 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold success criterion has not been met;
12. After closing the sidebars, the keyboard focus returns to the top of the page, while the focus returns to the top of the page when viewing the 'Share this article' pop-up with the keyboard after the 'Share on X' link; therefore, the 2.4.3 Focus Order success criterion has not been met;
13. Some links are empty or may not be significant with regard to the context; therefore, the WCAG 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) success criterion has not been met (in this context);
14. The keyboard focus indicator is visible on all interactive elements except on selected elements of the tabs present in some sidebars, such as in the 'Select size' sidebar on the product pages; therefore, the WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible success criterion has not been met;
15. In some pages, the accessible name of the interactive components (links and buttons) does not contain the label visible on the screen; therefore, the WCAG 2.5.3 Label in Name success criterion has not been met;
16. Some pages do not indicate the language of words or passages of text that are in a different language from the main language of the page, making it difficult for the text to audio conversion solutions to perform the transformation correctly; therefore, the WCAG 3.1.2. Language of Parts success criterion has not been met. This applies to some error messages relating to the completion of forms, the presence of words or sequences of words in a language different from that of the page in the names of the products and the labels of some links and buttons;
17. Some status messages that communicate the results of an action such as the adding or removing of a product from a wishlist, or certain error messages related to filling out forms are not conveyed correctly to the Assistive Technologies; therefore the WCAG 4.1.3 Status Messages success criterion has not been met;
18. The behaviour of some elements is not conveyed to Assistive Technologies; therefore, the WCAG 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value success criterion has not been met.
1.1.3 Drafting the accessibility statement. This statement was drawn up on 17 October 2024.
The statement was made using an evaluation compliant with the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2012 through an assessment carried out by the third party LIA Foundation.
