ABOUT ALANUI

Alanui is an Italian luxury knitwear brand founded in 2016 with the idea of transforming the cardigan into an icon of travel and identity. Founded by Carlotta Oddi together with her brother Nicolò, the brand takes its name from a Hawaiian word meaning “great path.”

GIORGIO ARMANI AND ALANUI: POINTS OF CONNECTION

The collaboration between Alanui and Giorgio Armani stems from a shared vision: travel as discovery and storytelling, product as a founding value, and family as a root of identity. A meeting between two realities united by common paths, where tradition and authentic bonds become a creative driving force.

Each garment is conceived as a blank canvas, continuously reinterpreted to translate the theme of travel through details, colors, and craftsmanship techniques that evoke memories tied to a place.

The oversized cardigans are crafted from precious materials, using four to seven different yarns, and require between five and seven hours to be knitted and a further six hours to be assembled
