Giorgio Armani expands its partnership with NOMAD for the fair’s inaugural U.S. edition at The Watermill Center. The partnership reflects Giorgio Armani’s continued support of contemporary culture and artistic production while marking a milestone in NOMAD’s expansion to the United States.

 

The venue for this edition, The Watermill Center—founded by artist and theater director Robert Wilson in 1992—lends the project a special significance, evoking the long-standing relationship of mutual respect and collaboration between Mr. Giorgio Armani and Wilson. Their creative dialogue was rooted in a profound aesthetic affinity and expressed through noteworthy collaborations, from Armani's design of the costumes for Wilson's staging of Lady from the Sea to Wilson's installation design for the major touring retrospective exhibition dedicated to Armani organized by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in 2000. The collaboration at NOMAD Hamptons marks the second chapter of Giorgio Armani / Unveiled, an ongoing exhibition project that debuted in St. Moritz in February 2026.

 

As part of the partnership, Giorgio Armani presents Giorgio Armani / Unveiled, an exhibition platform dedicated to supporting artists whose practices prioritize innovative expressions of material and form. Formed & Woven: Ariel Dearie and Jonathan Kline, curated by Abby Bangser, features newly commissioned works by the artists. The exhibition draws inspiration from the architecture and natural surroundings of The Watermill Center, creating a thoughtful connection between contemporary art, design, and the world of Giorgio Armani.
